Stellar Content turns 1: Lessons from a content agency launched during the attack of the robots

One year ago, I decided to hold my nose and jump in with two feet: Stellar Content was born, with a mission to bring the human touch back to a very noisy content marketing world. 

As we celebrate our first birthday, I’m incredibly proud of how far we've come and even more excited about where we're headed.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of it (LOL), but AI-generated content is making a few waves. It’s a strange time to be launching an agency that basically sells content, but hey, I’ve always loved a challenge! 

And I am firmly of the belief that nothing can replace genuine human connection. 

Not only that; I also believe that all of this AI content will have us craving human connection even more than those early Covid lockdowns. And we’re here to help organisations - large and small - to achieve that genuine human connection with their audience, and to build long-term brand loyalty. 

Our Stellar Superpower? Speaking 'human' – cutting through the tech jargon to reach audiences where they are and forging lasting brand connections.

Over the past year, we've had the privilege of working with dozens of incredible clients, helping them tell their stories in ways that reach their audiences and tell them stories that help them to feel seen and heard, and turn them into lifelong fans. From healthcare providers to financial services, universities to not-for-profits, we've reached right into the heart of what makes each organisation unique and brought that to life through compelling content.

I’m thrilled to have hired my first full-time team member: Whitney Tipple, our most excellent Content Coordinator, who I could now never do without. Whitney helps me to wrangle our wider team of 40+ freelancers who bring a crazy level of expertise with them, and who help us to create bespoke teams tailored to every project. 

We've laughed, we've strategised, and, yes, we've even thrown in a few (mostly suitable for work) puns along the way.

But here's the exciting part: we're just getting started.

I see a lot of content professionals weathering a tough storm at the moment, but we're more committed than ever to our mission of creating strategic content that builds rock-solid brand loyalty. In a sea of AI-generated ‘slop’, we're doubling down on what sets us apart – our ability to infuse every piece of content with heart, humour, and human insight that no robot can replace.

We're expanding our focus on the human services sector, helping organisations that make a real difference in people's lives to communicate their value and connect with those who need them most. Because, at the end of the day, it's not just about selling products or services; it's about creating meaningful connections and improving lives.
